A software that allows you to emulate virtual controllers and that will do the job just fine. If you don't have multiple controllers, i personally recommend the use of VJoystick. This will cause the AI to behave and fight correctly. Workaround: The current workaround that exists for this issue is to connect multiple controllers, assign them to the AI and set them to AUTO. They only attack one time before backing off, or don't attack at all.
